Fabric Vertical Blinds Add That Soft Sensual Feel to Any Room Setting

Todays fabric vertical blinds stand up and command attention. They have that been there, done that, look at me I'm awesome that only comes from experience.

When fabric vertical blinds first came on the scene the manufactures tried to hang just about every piece of material they could find on the vertical track.

The problems soon became noticeable and down-right eye sores. The fabric vanes curled inward, they frayed constantly and just didn't stand up to the pressures of every day use.

Today thats not a problem. The fabric vertical vanes of today have proven themselves. They have been around the block a few times and now they strut their stuff. Crisp and straight the day they are installed and years down the road,

The designer styles of today vary with texture, grace and awesome good looks. There is a fabric vertical blind vane that will enhance the atmosphere of any room.

Take a short trip and look at all the great textures and styles here.

As you can see some of them are just drop-dead-gorgeous and ooh-so easy to gaze at.

As anything that seems perfect they have a few imperfections that we should talk about. Fabric vertical blind vanes tend to dance a lot. When air moves in your room,thru the window, or doorway the fabric verticals will move and dance about, sometimes not so gracefully.

Even the slightest breeze will cause movement in the fabric vanes. The manufactures put weights in the bottom, but they still dance about. They tried chaining the vanes together at the bottom but that proved a disaster as well as a terrible eye sore.

Some manufacturers still offer chains at the bottom as an option. The chains look great at first, but they rust, break, and eventually look horrible. Because of these factors they are not a "little" maintanance job. Life is too short to be repairing chain on a monthly basis.

The manufactures have come a long way in making the fabric vanes stain resistant. Most of the newer vanes are great at repelling dirt and finger prints.

Some of the older patterns such as amalfi, which has been around the block long enough to cause a wear mark in the sidewalk, is not the greatest at repelling dirt and finger prints.

I mentioned in the general article on vertical blinds that the manufactures have tried every thing they can think of to come up with a better looking valance without increasing the price tremendously. So far they haven't come up with anything in my estimation that does justice to the awesome looking fabric vanes.

I personally think that nothing looks finer than a awesome looking fabric vertical blind surrounded by an equally awesome pair of side panels gracefully tied back with a gorgeous top treatment to finish off that drop-em-dead in their tracks look.
