Cheap Window Blinds Are Special Too.

The first thing I need to clarify is the meaning of cheap window blinds. Since this site is all about the different types of window blinds I would be doing you a big disservice by not including this area-cheap window blinds.

When I refer to a cheap window blind I'm referring to a blind that is reliable, looks good, and holds up well.

There are some cheaper blinds out there that you need to stay away from. They are junk, built to be junk, and will perform like junk.

These junk blinds are usually sold by deep discount store - you know, the ones that have a reputation for selling junk. They are not worth the money let alone the effort to carry them home.

I have one blind in mind that meets the criteria I mentioned above. It's called "Vibrance" and it's sold exclusively by Home Depot - The big orange box.

The vibrance blind is reliable, it definitely looks good and it can take a ton of abuse. The reason I call it cheap is because you can get a 36" wide by 72"long for under $4. For me thats cheap.

The other sizes are comparably priced. If I remember right a 72" wide by 72"long is only a little less than $11. Thats a good deal!

Almost all of the Home Depots carry the white and alabaster colors in stock. They have other colors but not all the stores carry the colors.

These cheap window blinds are not able to be cut to size in the store but if you have a radial arm or chop saw with a good finish blade you can cut them at home.

Remember to clamp them tight or tape them tight together before you saw to keep them from being torn apart by the saw.

Cutting them like this will lose the rounded edge on the vinyl slats which doesn't look to swift but for an out of the way place it will be alright.

They come with all the brackets you need to mount them including a hold down bracket for mounting the blind on a door.

These cheap window blinds are good looking and they hang straight and true. There are not decor blinds but for not so important places they work and look great.
