Bamboo Blinds and a Planters Punch!

Nothing say's chill out, relax, unwind, get comfy like bamboo blinds. Thanks to advertising, especially television, we have been conditioned to think of relaxing in association with bamboo or natural shades.

Try this. Sit back relax close your eyes and try to imagine a tiki style hut with matchstick shades all around and then try to fill that room with people in up tight business clothes having a business meeting.

Something about woven wood blinds that automatically triggers a chill out, lets get comfy response.

Add a planters punch, the sound of waves crashing on the shore to the bamboo blinds and-Welcome to paradise.

Bamboo blinds icon come in a variety of different colors, weaves and materials.

As a matter of fact there is a new line of woven woods called Tuscany Designer Woven Shade icon that is composed of naturally woven grasses and has been featured in quite a number of the designer magazines. Put a decorative edge binding or this shade and you could put this in a board room.

The disadvantage to these blinds is the fact that they are an all or none type of shade. In other words they are not adjustable. when down you can't see out and when up you have no light control.

This may be a disadvantage but if you are like me there are times when you want the world to go away and just be left to chill.

Because of the nature of the natural woods they are not black out. You do get some light bleeding through. For some one to see through they would need to have their face up to the window. If they are that desperate to see in they will probably find a place to see in anyway.

If you need total privacy you can get a liner applied to the back but this is an expensive option and some times ruins the look of the shade. Consider this option carefully before you decide.
